Christmas is Here
Christmas Eve at Marble Collegiate Church celebrates the story of Christmas through word and song ---
And the Angel said, “Don’t be afraid. I’ve got something good for you: good news, great joy. For unto you is born this day, over there in the hills, in the City of David—a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And you’ll find Him wrapped in swaddling cloths and lying in a manger.”
Christmas Eve at Marble Collegiate Church is a dynamic, joyful program filled with beloved carols such as O Come All Ye Faithful, Hark the Herald Angels Sing, and Joy to the World plus life-changing stories of faith and a powerful Christmas message from Dr. Michael Brown. Shot at the historic Marble Collegiate Church and featuring the music of the award-winning Marble Church choir under the direction of Ken Dake. The music will include such stirring favorites as:
Go Tell It on the Mountain
What Child is This?
Angels We Have Heard on High
Christmas Eve at Marble Collegiate Church also features world-renowned singer songwriter Ken Medema who performs Watching the Sky, Bring Me a Rose and Hush Missus Teenage Mary. The program also includes a stirring version of Joy to the World with the Marble Gospel Choir and band.
As Dr. Brown says, “A humble birth in an almost unnoticed manger in a tiny off-the-beaten path town hardly seemed newsworthy. And yet, more than two thousand years later we are still celebrating the “good news of great joy” that occurred there. Something began that night in Bethlehem that has continued for twenty centuries, transforming the world … and empowering us to find life worth the living.
