Face of Mercy explores the history of the Divine Mercy devotion introduced to the Church by St. Faustina. The film traces the life of Faustina and her impact on Pope John Paul II who canonized her in 2000. The film also reveals how the Divine Mercy image and message revealed to Faustina has greatly influenced remarkable individuals from Rwandan genocide survivor Immaculee Ilibagiza to Grante Desme, the top prospect of the Oakland A’s who suddenly retired to join a monastery in 2010.
